General Policies
LYF facilities are lacto-vegetarian (no meat, meat products, poultry, fish or eggs allowed). We regret that we cannot accommodate pets. No drugs, alcohol, tobacco (including e-cigarettes) are allowed on the properties.
Payments
All housing reservations must be paid in full at the time of reservation.

What is your cancellation policy?
LYF supports you in your visit to our ashram. If you need to leave early or cancel your reservation before your visit, we will refund you for any nights you miss from your original reservation.
Do you have internet access?
All LYF rental accommodations have free WiFi, as does the HGRD Ashram complex. Since we are in a rural environment, our speeds are slower and subject to varying availability.
Are there private bathrooms?
No, all houses have shared bathrooms.
Do you have a shuttle service from local airports?
LYF Foundation does not provide any shuttle services. Here are a few independent shuttle services you can use.

Do I need a car?
Our ashram is in a rural location right outside of Espanola. If you want to get around town or travel to nearby tourist sites, a car is recommended. There is minimal public transportation to Taos and Santa Fe. For all ashram-centered activities, our houses within a 5-minute walk. For Summer Solstice, Khalsa Youth Camp, and International Women's Camp, we do not provide transportation and there are no bus routes. To get into Espanola, it is a short 10-15 walk to the nearest bus station.
Are there grocery stores or restaurants available nearby?
Unfortunately, there are no stores or restaurants in walking distance. There are several grocery stores and restaurants in the area, accessible only by car.
Is there any public transportation nearby?
Yes, with limited service.

No pets, including service animals, are allowed in our housing facilities.

What is the food and kitchen situation like?
All LYF Rentals and Ashram properties are lacto-vegetarian. No meat, meat products, fish, fowl or eggs are allowed on the properties. You are responsible for providing your own food unless you are taking a course with a food program. There are grocery stores within driving distance from our housing facilities. Filtered water is provided in all housing facilities. All houses have kitchens/kitchenettes for your use.
What kind of safety and security procedures are in the housing facilities?
All housing facilities are locked 24 hours a day, accessible by keypad access. Rooms can be locked from the inside while you are in the room, but there are no outside locks for when you leave your room. You can bring a padlock to secure your room from the outside while you are out.
Is there a shuttle service from the Summer Solstice site to housing facilities?
No, you will be responsible for transportation back and forth to the Summer Solstice site.
What are the check-in / check-out times?
There are no specific arrival/checkout times for most of the year**, unless you are taking a course that specifies a certain time of arrival/departure. Before you arrive, we will provide you with the code for the keypad to enter your building. Please make sure to print the directions and code to get into the housing facility, as phone service can be spotty.
**We have continuous courses and the Summer Solstice event for the month of June. To accommodate turnover between events, we do require a check-in time of 4:00 pm, and a check-out time of 12 pm.**
